My name is Margaret Kutzera and I am the Alcona County Democratic Party Treasurer. I bring to the position previous years experience as Treasure and as Secretary of the Party since 2012. I was also the Treasurer for a local candidate’s campaign who ran for State Representative; state filings, reporting of income and expenditures under the strictest of instances were garnered. I received my Bachelors of Arts, accounting and management, from Saginaw Valley State University in 1993 while still working in a local Credit Union as the Director of Loans. My experience as a Human Resource Manager with Timco Aviation Company has also given me the opportunity to know personnel issues and understand the necessity of listening and negotiations. My family was fortunate to travel around the world via my father’s U.S. military service and I have been to every State in our wonderful country. My husband and I have lived in Alcona County since April 2015 and owned our property here in Harrisville since 1995. This is the place I call home.
My name is Kathy Murray-Rice, and I serve as Secretary for the Alcona County Democratic Party. I retired after nearly thirty years of service as a 911 dispatcher in MSP/Northville, East Lansing and Ingham County. Prior to that, I worked for eight years as a paramedic in the Detroit area, where I took the initiative to unionize the paramedics and EMTs at Taylor Ambulance Service, one of Michigan’s largest EMS providers at that time. My husband, a retired firefighter/paramedic, accepted the position of Alcona County’s EMS director, which led us to move north to Greenbush, Michigan in 2017. Together, we have raised three wonderful children and are blessed with nine grandchildren who are the center of our lives.
We cherish Alcona County’s beautiful beaches and stunning countryside and feel deeply fortunate to have discovered such an exceptional place for this phase of our lives.
